The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) was pleased to join other colleagues from the Department of Operational Support (DOS) Environmental Team for a visit to MINUSCA aimed at supporting the mission’s efforts to implement renewable energy and assure a positive legacy in the host country, in line with its mandate[1].

MINUSCA has exhibited continuous improvement in recent years, with a current environmental score of 77/100 compared to 66/100 in 2018-2019, reflecting considerable progress in waste management practices, fuel containment rates, and data quality, as well as efforts to transition to renewable energy.

On May 3rd, the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) opened the doors of its 3D printing service, to grant first-hand access to the transformative potential of this technology.
