The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) congratulates UNISFA on the success of its first in-house M-UAS Remote Operator course.

With a high success rate of 94%, 18 civilian and uniformed personnel hailing from diverse battalions gained “invaluable insights and practical techniques significantly boosting UNISFA's UAS capacities and capabilities,” according to Salim Chehab, UNISFA’s Chief Field Technology Section (FTS).

Training included use-cases of camp surveillance, night flight, convoy overwatch, search, force protection, and the protection of civilians.

The eight-day course was conducted by trainers from UNGSC, the United Nations Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Academy for Peace Operations (UNCAP), the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE), and UNISFA’s FTS, and is part of an on-going collaboration.
