Winter Season Celebration

Submitted by nestola on

UNGSC opened the winter season with a moment of connection built around service, community, and shared reflection.

The day began with the Drone Competition where colleagues explored precision, agility, and the digital mindset increasingly shaping UN operational environments. As one first-time participant shared: “I came into the competition as a complete beginner, but flying alongside colleagues helped me understand how meaningful drone technology can be. In complex settings, the ability to handle something so small yet sophisticated can genuinely support decision-making and safety.”

The gathering also offered time to reconnect as a workforce and reflect on the year’s milestones. As the United Nations marks 80 years, UNGSC continues to adapt, innovate, and stay anchored in its shared values — Humanity, Integrity, Humility, and Inclusion — the quiet engine behind both our culture and our impact.

Community isn’t an outcome; it is a capability — and this week, we strengthened it together.
