UNGSC at the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial 2025

Submitted by nestola on

As part of the Peacekeeping in Action exhibition at the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial 2025 in Germany, #UNGSC displayed its innovative field technology, including a real deployment of the Modular Command Centre (MCC) and Modular Power Pack (MPP). These advanced, mobile solutions are designed to support peacekeeping missions in remote areas lacking communication and power infrastructure.

The UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, and other dignitaries entered the MCC booth for live videoconferences with peacekeeping missions, including UNMISS, UNDOF, and UNIFIL, demonstrating the critical role of portable technology in maintaining secure, real-time communications in challenging environments. The MCC’s live feed was also mirrored on two screens, allowing visitors to witness mission coordination in real time.

With over 1,000 guests, including over 60 Foreign and Defence Ministers, the event provided a critical platform to highlight UNGSC’s technical capabilities for supporting UN peacekeeping and global UN communications.

Hosted by the German Ministry of Defence and the Federal Foreign Office, the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial serves as a high-level political forum to discuss the future of peacekeeping. UNGSC is pleased to have participated in this event, in close coordination with the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) and the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW).
