This significant changeover brings enhanced power redundancy and operational resilience for not only peace operations, but also for the entire UN Secretariat, and agencies, funds and programmes.

Each UPS unit offers 300-500KW of scalable power, with a total capacity of 1800KW – enough to handle the peak demand of a few hundred average-sized homes simultaneously – and integrates seamlessly with our #FRIM platform for real-time monitoring.

UNGSC was pleased to take part in two Model United Nations (MUN) events in Valencia, each fostering dialogue, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of global challenges. 

At the Globeducate MUN, hosted by the Cambridge House British International School, 140 students from 22 schools and 40 nationalities came together to enhance their communication, debate, and diplomacy skills. 

For UN peacekeepers, secure communication, real-time situational awareness, and digital security are critical to protecting lives and ensuring mission success. To strengthen these capabilities, the United Nations C4ISR Academy for Peace Operations (UNCAP) recently delivered four training courses at the Regional Service Centre Entebbe (RSCE), supported by the Government of Japan.

On this World Water Day 2025, UNGSC joined the global community in recognizing the vital role of water in our lives, our environment, and peacekeeping operations. We are honored to collaborate with Università del Salento to dialogue on this year's theme, Glacier Preservation, as well as on the work we do.

As part of a courtesy call, UNGSC Director, Mr. Anton Antchev, met with Admiral Massimiliano Grazioso, Commander of the Amphibious Force and San Marco Brigade.

Admiral Grazioso commended UNGSC’s vital role as a key logistics hub and expressed appreciation for Mr. Antchev’s visit. In turn, Mr. Antchev conveyed his keen interest in exploring the historical significance of the Castle hosting the San Marco Brigade.

UNGSC representatives in Valencia recently visited the three winning schools of the UN Day 2024 Robotics Competition: IES Borriol, Fundación Flors and IES Xebic. Upon winning, each school was given the possibility to choose a prize tailored to their specific needs; these included 3D printers, printing filaments, and Lego Robotics Kits for primary students, aimed at enhancing student engagement.

UNGSC Director, Mr. Anton Antchev, was pleased to meet with senior officials from the host City of Brindisi, Prefect Luigi Carnevale and Mayor Giuseppe Marchionna. Both officials recognized the important role of UNGSC and expressed their support for strengthening collaboration between the Centre and the local community. They also conveyed their appreciation for UNGSC’s participation in the delegation that presented Brindisi’s candidacy for the Italian Capital of Culture 2027 at the Ministry of Culture in Rome.
