UNGSC’s Modular Technology Centre Renews Uptime Institute Tier III Ready Designation

Submitted by caputon on

Brindisi, Italy, 10 October 2025 — The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) has renewed its Uptime Institute Tier III Ready designation for the Modular Technology Centre (MTC), confirming its reliability as part of the UN’s global digital backbone. The designation highlights the Centre’s role in keeping UN ICT systems available to field operations at all times—so that data, communications, and mission platforms remain secure and accessible when they are needed most. This performance reflects a wider record of reliability: from 2014 UNGSC maintains a client-satisfaction rate of 97.91 %, underscoring the trust that missions place in its services worldwide.

“This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining world-class ICT infrastructure that ensures business continuity for UN operations globally,” said Michel Bergeron, Chief, Service for Geospatial, Information and Telecommunications Technologies (SGITT). “The Modular Technology Centre embodies UNGSC’s innovation-driven approach to resilient, scalable, and sustainable digital solutions.”

Predrag Milcevic, Chief of the Infrastructure and Operations Section, added: “Renewing the Tier III Ready designation underscores the strength of our design and the professionalism of the team maintaining it. It ensures that UN missions can depend on stable ICT capacity to carry out their work effectively.”
