Jangar Mc Gill Richards

UNGSC Central Service
Ms. Richards joined UNGSC in February 2022 as the Chief of Central Service, leading the operational, administrative and support services for the organization including the Conference and Learning Center, Human Resources, Campus Support, and Occupational Safety and Health. She assists the Director of UNGSC in implementing administrative strategies and projects.
In addition to her current role, Ms. Richards has over 20 years of professional knowledge, experience and proven success in service delivery, strategic and financial planning, project management, client services, and business development.
She joined the United Nations in 2018 as the Chief of Service Delivery Management for the United Nations Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara (MINURSO). Prior from 2005 to 2018, Ms. Richards served in various leadership capacities in the private sector, namely within the healthcare administration industry from at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, New York University Medical Center and other renowned facilities. She was tasked to lead change management initiatives, redesign processes, develop and implement growth strategies, manage and expand client relationships and develop strategic business plans. Instrumental aspects of her work were implementing client relationship models, tools/systems, revamping day-to-day operations of many aspects of the business and developing programs.
Ms. Richards holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology, and a Master of Health Services Administration, from the George Washington University in Washington, DC and certificates in leadership development and process redesign from Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
She is married and has two children.
