World Water Day 2025: UNGSC & Università del Salento Engage

Submitted by Nadia Caputo on

On this World Water Day 2025, UNGSC joined the global community in recognizing the vital role of water in our lives, our environment, and peacekeeping operations. We are honored to collaborate with Università del Salento to dialogue on this year's theme, Glacier Preservation, as well as on the work we do.

The University launched Green Talks – Conversations on the Future of the Planet, a new web radio podcast series exploring critical environmental themes. With insights from Prof. Piero Lionello, the first episode will explore how glacier preservation connects to daily life as part of the World Water Day 2025 observance.

A special thanks to Dean Prof. Fabio Pollice, Prof. Stefano Cristante, Prof. Stefano Piraino, and journalist Paola Ancora for their valuable contributions and to the students of the University who joined us.
