Strengthening AU–UN Partnerships

Submitted by Nadia Caputo on

From 1 to 6 June 2026, the United Nations Global Service Centre (#UNGSC) welcomed a delegation from the African Union Commission (AUC) and the United Nations Office to the African Union (UNOAU) to Brindisi for a focused working visit.

The programme combined strategic dialogue with direct exposure to UNGSC’s integrated service model — connecting supply chain, infrastructure, environmental solutions, and digital technologies within a single operational framework.

Reflecting on the visit, Col. Mohamed Nassim Boughlali, Peace Support Operations Division, African Union Commission, noted:

“The visit served as an important opportunity to deepen institutional dialogue and promote mutual learning with the United Nations on mission support and logistics management.”

This engagement reinforces a shared objective: strengthening institutional capacity for peace support operations through structured cooperation, technical alignment, and knowledge exchange.

As operational demands evolve, partnerships grounded in practical expertise remain central to delivering effective and sustainable mission support.
