High-Level Committee on Management Meeting

Submitted by Nadia Caputo on

This month, a UNGSC delegation was welcomed at the Palau de la Generalitat, in the framework of the High-Level Committee on Management meeting, which brought together colleagues from across the United Nations system.

The event provided an opportunity to engage with local authorities and partners supporting the UN presence in Valencia, where UN entities continue to expand their operations, now comprising nearly 750 personnel across UN premises in Valencia.

During the reception, the Regional Minister for Social Services, Equality and Housing, Elena Albalat, highlighted the importance of continued collaboration with the expansion of the UN premises in Valencia and reinforce its role as a hub for innovation and cooperation.

As highlighted during the visit, UNGSC continues to position itself not only as a service provider, but as a strategic enabler— This was reflected in its demonstrated resilience, most notably following the October 2024 floods, when critical ICT services continued without interruption and operations were restored in record time, highlighting the Centre’s ability to translate resilience into concrete support for UN operations in an evolving context.
