Fostering operational alignment in peace and security: the United Nations-European Union Planning Workshop

UNGSC was pleased to host the United Nations – European Union Planning Workshop aimed at enhancing understanding of respective structures and planning processes to facilitate mutual operational support in the field. 
  
The workshop, led jointly by the Department of Operational Support (DOS), in collaboration with the Office of Military Affairs in the Department of Peace Operations (OMA/DPO), and the European Union Military Staff (EUMS), included representatives from the EUMS, the EU Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC), the EUMS Logistics Directorate, the EU Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability (CPCC), the DOS Support Partnerships Service, OMA/DPO, and UNGSC. The workshop also featured a virtual component with briefings from counterparts at respective EU and UN Headquarters in Brussels and New York.
