“The United Nations is a reflection of the world as it is – and an aspiration of the world we know it can be.” –UN Secretary-General António Guterres
On this UN Day, the United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) is inviting stakeholders across the UN system and beyond in Brindisi, Italy, and Valencia, Spain, to join forces and accelerate the implementation of the UN’s goals through innovation and collaboration.

At UNGSC’s base in Brindisi, Italy, organizations co-located on the premises are invited to join UNGSC personnel and "Walk Together Towards the Future,” walking across the Base and exploring how its state-of-the-art facilities can advance the integration of their efforts in line with the concept of “One UN.” This event will also promote a healthy campus.

In Valencia, events are being held at the iconic City of Arts and Sciences. Highlights include a Robotics Competition involving over 50 public and private schools, "Youth 4.0: A Connected and Sustainable Future in the Digital Era,” and a Humanitarian Fair featuring UNICEF, the International Organization for Migration, UNHCR, and several local and international non-governmental organizations .

Organized in cooperation with regional and local officials, the institutional ceremony will be addressed by the President of the Generalitat of Valencia and include a performance by the Berklee School of Music.

With these events, UNGSC underscores its commitment to fostering integration across the UN System, as well to proactively engaging youth and civil society in advancing technology, peace, and development. As noted by UNGSC Director, Giovanna Ceglie, “we reiterate our commitment to serving peace operations and the broader UN system and to engaging with partners, united to build a more inclusive, innovative and peaceful future.”
