UNGSC is pleased to host the Unite FRIM Introductory Technical Building Workshop at its Brindisi Base from 28 February -01 March.

Unite FRIM (Field Remote Infrastructure Monitoring) is a scalable Internet of Things ecosystem for environmental sustainability, responsible consumption, and data-driven resource management, currently deployed across 7,100 devices and involving the management of 34,000 tags.

With 21 participants hailing from across the UN system, this workshop is fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among existing partners, such as the World Food Programme (WFP), and potential collaborators, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

In addition to deepening understanding of Unite FRIM and its potential to be customized to users’ needs, the workshop is also introducing 11 eLearning courses, accessible through the Technology Training Portal (https://technologytraining.un.org), that are designed to enhance capacity building within the UN framework, further supporting the UN’s digital transformation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
