A key partner in mission liquidation, UNGSC has been working on the ground and remotely to support the transfer of assets from the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), one of the largest and most complex peacekeeping missions to date, now in the final stages of liquidation.

The latest milestone is the consignment of 53 sea containers containing valuable assets to be stored within UN Reserve (UNR), managed by UNGSC at its Brindisi Base. Some of the received high-value transport assets will be restored for further use through UNGSC's flagship Return-Refurbish-Reuse (3R) Programme.

UNR and 3R are at the forefront of efforts to improve Member States’ return on investment. Assets from these inventories will go on to be dispatched to UN Peacekeeping missions and other entities worldwide, fulfilling critical demands, while reducing costs, and increasing circularity in the supply chain.
