The United Nations Global Service Centre (#UNGSC) is at the forefront of delivering digital technology services for the #UN system. As we embrace emerging technologies and drive the modernization and rejuvenation of our workforce, we remain equally committed to empowering users with the knowledge to apply these tools responsibly.
To further this goal, we recently hosted a two-day workshop on Generative Artificial Intelligence (#AI) at our Bases in Brindisi and Valencia. The workshop offered a comprehensive exploration of AI’s potential and its ethical implications in the workplace.
Highlights included:
- An introduction to #GenerativeAI and its responsible use in the workplace
- Practical demonstrations of AI use cases within the UN
- Key discussions on ethical considerations, data security, and compliance guidelines
Participants left the workshop with enhanced confidence in integrating AI-driven solutions, aligned with the UN’s core values.
“Delivering these workshops is not just about sharing knowledge—it’s about sparking innovation and being part of the exciting AI journey ahead, with UNGSC leading the way as a pioneer in shaping a smarter, more collaborative future,” said Ms. Avishan Bodjnoud, Workshop Facilitator and Chief, Information Management Unit, Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations (DPPA-DPO).
We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Bodjnoud for her dedication and expertise and look forward to continuing to advance the responsible use of transformative technology to achieve the UN’s goals.
